Media alert: Launch of a people’s health manifesto

The Treatment Action Campaign (TAC) invites all media to the launch of its People’s Health Manifesto.

The manifesto contains 11 health-related questions that we will put to political parties in the run-up to the elections on May 7th. In this way we hope to sensitise political parties to key issues in our health system and to seek clarity on how parties intend to respond to these issues.

The manifesto was developed through extensive consultation with TAC members and partner organisations. While we could not cover all important issues in the health system, the manifesto does reflect many of the most urgent difficulties that users of the public health system have been reporting.
