The following call for participants was released today by SANAC’s Women’s Sector:
The Women’s sector in SANAC wishes to hold a consultation workshop on the impact of Male Circumcision on Women. The aim is to assess and articulate what such a policy needs to entail from the planning stages of formulation through to implementation, to reflect a consideration of the reality and the needs of the lives of women from birth to death.
We have set a target of having at least 8 organisations represented per province.
Details of this workshop will be circulated but organisations- especially those that work on SRH and prevention are requested to indicate interest and motivate why they should be selected to come.
We request organisations to circulate this invite to other organisations in the sector, as we want representation to be as widespread as possible.
Organisations that work in rural areas specifically will be prioritised.
Further information regarding proposed dates and logistics will follow.
