12TH SEPT: TAC NATIONAL DAY OF ACTION AGAINST STOCK-OUTS #TACactions
Tomorrow the Treatment Action Campaign (TAC) is coordinating a nationwide day of action to demand an end to the on-going drug stock-out crisis ravaging across South Africa – as well as urgent action to address the deterioration of quality health care services in various parts of the country.
The TAC will be marching in solidarity with the people of the Eastern Cape, and a broad coalition of civil society organisations, to challenge the unacceptable condition of health care currently being provided in the Province. The TAC and SECTION27 today published a special report investigating the collapse of health care in the Eastern Cape that can be accessed at www.ECHealthCrisis.org.
TAC branches will deliver memorandums to the MECs for Health outlining key issues and recommendations for improvement of Provincial health systems. For further details on the activities taking place in each province and relevant media contacts please see below:
