Premier Ace Magashule responds to #BopheloHouse94

On Sunday 19th June Premier Ace Magashule met with the #BopheloHouse94 – a group of community healthcare workers (CHWs) who were convicted in 2015 for taking part in a peaceful vigil in protest. The CHWs were protesting the collapse of the Free State public healthcare system and the decision of MEC of Health Dr Benny Malakoane to dismiss, without warning or cause, all approximately 3000 CHWs in the province in April 2014. In this video Premier Ace Magashule responds to the testimonies of more than 20 CHWs who reported on the significant role CHWs play in the healthcare system and the vast problems being faced in local communities since their dismissal.
