World AIDS Day Photos
I know this is a little overdue but I know most of you will like this. The event was help at Driefontein. 5000 people were expected to on the day but the number could have easily been double that. Obviously my estimation could be a little off, but there were way more than 5000 people there. Remember how TAC Gert Sibande went on a huge mobilising campaign in the weeks leading up to the event? It payed off big time and government did not fail to deliver. All the major service Departments were there;
Community members could among others;
- Apply for ID
- Apply for social grants
- Get birth certificates
- Get tested for HIV
You can download the speech that the deputy president Kgalema Motlanthe gave by clicking here.There was no new policy statement or anything new like last years speech, but he mentioned a few good successes of the HCT campaign.
