TAC Western Cape moves into EDEN district on the National Health Insurance
Did you know that for the Western Cape Province the pilot site has been identified in EDEN district? A team of TACCIES visited GEORGE, KNYSNA and Plettenberg Bay from the 28-30 June 2012 to mobilize our communities for the NHI. All the old TAC members were so excited to see TAC back into the district. We had meetings withTAC members from George, Knysna and Kwanokuthula, community based organizations, local structures like the Local AIDS Council and ended off with a Stakeholder meeting with partners like, COSATU, SANGOCO, EDEN Advice offices, NEHAWU, SACC and others. The outcome of this visit is the hosting a NHI summit in GEORGE on the 18-19 August 2012 to look at how civil society in the Western Cape takes the NHI forward! Viva to the NHI Viva!
