Key activities:
• Organise and plan training for the Treatment Literacy Programme in all the provinces
• Develop and adapt training curriculums for the treatment literacy programme
• Develop and adapt training aids.
• Assist each province with the implementation of the training that is planned.
• Train and supervise the National trainers
• Monitor and evaluate training
• Write regular reports
• Assist the with accreditation of the Treatment Literacy programme; working closely with the appropriate people
• Work with members of the finance and development team to report on expenditure on training and reports for potential funders.
• Report to the National Treatment Literacy Co-ordinator
Required Skills and knowledge:
• Post matric formal medical or public health training required
• Extensive Training experience- especially in ABET (Adult basic education and training) and HIV
• Previous experience in the development of curriculums and training aids
• Have extensive knowledge of Treatment literacy
• Be abreast of Scientific information on HIV and AIDS
• Extensive travel is required
• Must be able to speak, write and read English very well.
• Must be able to speak and write either Zulu, Xhosa or Sotho
• Experience in working with accreditation processes of the South African Qualifications Authority would be advantageous.
• Previous successful supervisory role would be advantageous
