Clothing donations
It's a truism of crisis donations -- that only half the clothing given is any use. Remember: it needs to be warm, clean and in fair repair. Fine to donate clean second-hand socks, bras, underpants and children's underwear, but women's knickers should be new (try Pep stores). Try to include items like sewing-kits, games, cards; also donate items families can use to store, protect or move their stuff (canvas supermarket bags, zip-lock bags, watertight containers, etc).
